1. What this service is
Utah Student Driving operates a referral and matching service. We collect your stated needs and forward them to independent driver education providers licensed by the Utah Driver License Division. We are not a driving school, not a state agency, and not affiliated with the Driver License Division.
2. What we do not do
- We do not provide classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel instruction, or observation hours.
- We do not administer road tests or issue licenses, permits, or certificates.
- We do not employ, supervise, or direct the instructors at partner schools.
- We do not set partner school pricing, availability, curriculum, or cancellation policies.
3. No fee to families
There is no charge to submit a request or to receive quotes. Partner schools pay us to receive qualified requests in their service area. Any amount you pay for instruction or testing is paid directly to the school you choose, under that school's own agreement with you.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, to have the authority to submit the phone number you enter, and to be at least 18 years old or to have a parent or guardian complete the form on the student's behalf. You agree not to submit false requests, scrape the site, or interfere with its operation.
You are responsible for meeting Utah's licensing requirements, including obtaining a valid learner's permit before any behind-the-wheel session and logging the supervised practice hours the state requires.
5. Vetting is not a guarantee
We verify partner credentials, insurance, and track record as described on our vetting page. That verification is a good-faith process based on documents and records available to us. It is not a warranty of any school's performance, safety record, or outcome on any given day. Your agreement for instruction is with the school, not with us.
6. No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee that you will be matched, that any school will contact you, that a school will have openings on your preferred dates, that pricing will fall within any range shown on this site, or that a student will pass any test. Price ranges displayed are market estimates for context only and are not quotes.
7. Third-party road test rule
Utah requires that a student's final road test be administered by a party other than the school that trained the student, or by the Driver License Division. We attempt to account for this when matching, but you remain responsible for confirming eligibility with both the training school and the testing party.
8. Communications
By submitting the intake form and checking the consent box, you authorize us and our matched partner schools to contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including by automated call or SMS. See our Privacy Policy for how to withdraw that authorization.
9. Intellectual property
The site design, text, and graphics are owned by Utah Student Driving. You may not copy or reuse them for a competing service. Partner school names and marks belong to those schools.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and service are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any act or omission of a partner school, including personal injury, property damage, scheduling failures, or billing disputes. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to one hundred dollars.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the site, your submission of another person's contact information without authority, or your breach of these terms.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute with us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County or Salt Lake County, Utah. Disputes with a partner school are between you and that school.
13. Changes and termination
We may modify these terms or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. We may decline or remove any request that appears fraudulent, duplicated, or abusive.
